About the Designer
My name is Claire Petroskey and I welcome you to my Design Portfolio. I am the designer of this website and the work displayed on each link. I have enjoyed learning specific techniques used to create graphic designs and websites. This class has allowed me to understand many electronic concepts that I haven't been exposed to in previous classes. This was my first time using Photoshop, Indesign, and HTML coding which is why I am thankful that after a lot of time and hard work, I feel confident in my finished product.
Why Graphic Design and HTML is Important
In Professor Moore's Electronic Publishing and Design class, I gained the necessary knowledge in order to create asthetically pleasing graphic designs using Photoshop, Indesign, HTML, and XHTML. These fundamental principles are important to understand because they can be applied in many career situations. The ability to create a useful logo or flyer, for example, is an extremely valuable skill to utilize in a business setting.
